Default Custom Vs Non-custom, Classic vs Updates, Nerfs, and Bugfixes

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Albert Einstein

We need to do some things different then classic. We know what was good in classic and what was not. We've seen the results of flying in the face of classic (resists). And we know now what classic things (Trak teeth, epic brokenness, imbalances in min/maxing, bards). Are detrimental to the longevity of a server.

I'm not going to presume to tell Sirken or Nilbog what needs to be done. I know they are smart enough to figure this one out on their own, being EQ players and GMs with a long history of the game.

But please listen to the reason in Einsteins quote. The logic I am trying to impart is not any more simple than that and requires no specific finite examples.

Lets not repeat the tragedy and mistakes of the past, with the knowledge of the present, and the foresight of the future.
