Necro vs Enchanter for solo over long haul

SSIA...My current main is a Cleric and my next highest char is my Druid from 3 years ago that I kind of retired a while back. Love my cleric but have been itching to level up something I can consistently solo with. Sometimes you just want to go it alone to decompress or camp an item or three.

Torn between Necro and Enchanter so I'm curious people's thoughts which is best for solo in the long run. Not just for exp but for being able to hold camps, kill namers, etc. Pre-velious and during info would be helpful.
