In the year 2000 weren't speed effects like sow/jboots disabled when indoors?

I am confused about this issue? people I am grouping with are asking me to step outside and sow them, despite the fact I don't think the sow should do anything when we're indoors?

is my memory of 2000 incorrect? is this an intentional change? unintentional change? something that was patched in eqlive at some point? or are these people asking me to sow them outside so they can run faster inside just mistaken?


I just want to know if I should start telling them no, that's silly, or keep doing what they ask?

You can't cast those types of spells indoors, but the effects will work once in a inside zone

are you sure there weren't some zones it didn't work in ever? I guess my memory is just faulty.

Levitate was stripped in some zones, but sow worked in all indoor zones, you just can't cast it in there.

I can't remember exactly because it was so long ago but I believe that they're right. I remember groups zoning out of Paw just to cast SoW and then running back inside. I'm not sure if it's still like that now because I'm not high enough for Paw yet lol! It was a big pain in the butt though when you were deep down in a zone and wanted to go re-sow.
