NPC Spawn Issue: Spin Flint - Gorge of King Xorbb

The Feb 2013 patch note indicates that Spinflint was created and placed in the Gorge of King Xorbb, but has anyone ever seen him?

I have spent the last 4 days slaughtering the zone, and every single NPC with the exception of the level 62 paladin quest NPC, Diggs Duggun. I've yet to see a single Spinflint, though I've seen all of the other named plenty of times.

Is he just extremely rare, or is the spawn broken?

Extremely rare, but he does spawn.

I found one of his rocks on a vendor a while back so he's definitely in.

Please tell me it wasn't the malachite!

Also, Lord Soptvyr should be KoS to minotaurs and I seem to recall that he could roam around the zone slaughtering them. Was Xorbb also KoS to them, which is one reason he was so rare? He could get killed.

I was camping king xorb

I killed splint 10 times in 2 or 3 day period fo camping 2 to 4 hrs each day.


set up where 2 gobo spawn < believe its eastern side of zone almost completly opposit runeye>

kill whatever moves.

When he was first introduced, I camped him on my enc. I had him spawn 4 times back to back, but then suddenly he disappeared. After reading zam, I learned that his oh and or himself can spawn inside the walls and get stuck.

That was correct on live. Here on P1999 this has not been the case. According to my research splint fint has 5 potential spawns one of which is at the intersection where those 2 goblin i posted about are at. The second is heading south from the gobo intersection.

If you head south on that intersection their is 3 fixed spawn point (place holder or named mino, or king or splint fint)

king Xorbb place holders are Eldar Mudit, Chasm Mino, Vapor spore (looks like evil eye no pet). If you spot a vapor spore spawn in that southward passage then you found the ph for xorbb. King xorbb has another spawn point just west of the gobo intersecton i believe it 3 spawn point down if you also clear the west passage till next intersection.

Name mino (cant rem his name) - his one spawn point i know is right next to the King xorbb place holder. you will get a Mudit eldar, Gorge Mino , or Chasm mino place holders.

Continue south and you will come to path leading to east karana. At the start of that path splint fint can also spawn near that intersection.
