Default graphics updated, now lots of errors

I updated the character models to Luclin graphics, spell gems to Velious, and changed to high res textures...

at first the spell gems would reset to classic gems, so I made the entire uifile read only. same resetting issue with the character models, solved in same manor. only issues now are, nek and lava will not load, and I get like 500 pop ups I have to click OK to in order to log in because the files are read only.

I need to use a private log in rather then the patcher to get around the pop up windows, do we have a private log in server?

what can I do to get nek and lava to load with the high res texture pack I have?

Yeah, the solution to this issue was a lot less complicated than you made it lol. Just make a shortcut to eqgame.exe with patchme after the target outside the quotes. Run that shortcut instead of using the launcher. This info is in the tech FAQ [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

If you use the eq emu launcher it will reset your globaload.txt file everytime you run it. You can set all your files back to normal (not read only) now and they will work fine as long as you dont use the launcher.

As a side note, whenever you update files with a new patch from p99, whether you use the launcher or do it manually you'll have to set up your global load file again. I usually keep a copy in the same folder named globalloadpatch.txt or something similar so i can just rename it and delelete hte patched version whenever i update.
