im currently using dual monitor, when i switch from EQ (WindowMode) to facebook or any other application, it will cause the game to freeze up (sometimes), but i can still hear spells and the sounds from the game.
any idea's on how to prevent the freezing? it gets quite annoying when i switch to facebook or netflix. just a little info on the rig i am using; Win7 64bit Quad core - set the launcher to a single core to prevent other issues Nvidia 250 GTS ( latest driver )

try going back to your EQ window and hitting Alt+enter... that will make EQ full screen and usually the graphics will reappear/reset.
The same thing as you are describing happens on my computer sometimes... I think it is something to do with the graphics card's capabilities. For example, if I open Google Chrome, there is usually no graphics freeze in EQ, but if I open another game, say Diablo 2, then when I alt tab back to EQ it is just black... then when I alt tab, graphics restored.

Cant use dual monitors for fullscreen unless you just change the resolution for your EQ window to fit the screen in windowed mode or use winEQ
