Sirken's response to me was:

"we do not transfer characters.

we are working on a fix for the 1018 error"

I agree though, it seems like the simple fix is to transfer or just straight up re-create the char if transfer isn't possible on a new account and it is very frustrating they chose to just let it be broken rather than help with a quick fix.

So I started an account a while back and leveled up and got my epic and yesterday after all that time of playing I finally received a 1018 error without any warning! I've spent a couple hours trying to research ANY possible solution to this problem including creating another install directory for the game and no potential solutions have yielded any positive results. Is it possible for the admins to just transfer characters from one account to another as a possible fix? As this seems to be the only issue correlated with this error. This error is frustrating to no end and a character transfer to a new account would seem to be a fairly easy solution compared to the alternatives.

+1 Great idea. Devs consider this for these poor folks. Couldn't even imagine getting this bug myself, would be horrible. Show some humanity, and that you have souls.

If you have the issue I am trying to gather information around the thought that conflicting UID are causing the problem.

If you could time line when you cannot login that could help.. ideally if that is the problem we happen to find 2 people who have the conflicting IDs and can only log in when the other is offline which would be a smoking gun for the issue.

Would be itnerested to have you try logging on early in the morning (like before going to work) and then again late at night before going to sleep to cover multiple play times.

I know personally I can log in in the morning but when i get home from work during prime time i get blocked. However, when I stayed logged in all day I was able to log on/off during prime time until i logged for about 3 hours to play my main then tried again and was blocked. This behavior makes it look like someone else is ont he other end trying to get in and once i log out they get in and then block me.

Some accounts are definitely more prone to this than others. One account in particular I use experiences this problem frequently; the others never do.
