Problems with installing the game

For some reason I'm unable to install my copy of EQ:titanium. I pop in the cd and run the installer, the "sony online entertainment" logo pops up for a brief 3 seconds then disappears. I've tried running the installer in all compatibility modes (windows 7) to no avail. It never proceeds any further than the "SOE" logo. Any help would be appreciated.
