Error 1018!

Hey all,

I keep running into this issue where my p99 game just freezes on screen. I can hear sound for at least some time, but if I alt-tab out and back in, instead of the screen being frozen, it turns black. The only way to close the game at this point is Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Needless to say, I've died at least a few times to this.

I installed WinEQ, so hopefully that addresses the issue, but I doubt it. Although, as a result of the most recent freeze, in addition to being dead in Timorous Deep while being bound in Everfrost, I have gotten Error 1018: You currently have an active character on login for the last 5 hours.
