Grouping Etiquette
Hey guys, first week in and only really be able to play a solid few hours in total due to IRL obligations but I plan on no lifing it this weekend. So with that said I’m sure I’ll be making my way to a newbie grouping area at some point and just need some direction on the dos and don’t of grouping, mainly loot rotation.
How is loot decided in groups? Is it round robin on trash? Is it need before greed on gear? Any insight would be great or if there is a pinned thread I missed would be good too. Thanks!

Typically drops of any significant value are rolled for.
Gems usually go by rotation...referred by as "alpha" for alphabetical order (character name). As long as you're not looting the plat off every single corpse people will be cool with you taking a bit more here and there.

Yea it’s often up to the group. Not really any rule on it besides playing nice and the suggestion of agreeing on a system before something valuable drops.
Also any rogue who steals loot and says it’s Roleplaying doesn’t hold up in elf court.

Ask your group, different groups will want different rules.
Need before greed is uncommon but not rare. Alpha / round robin is more common. Rolling on drops is most common.
