Default Sense Heading

I believe Sense Heading is a skill that *does* increase starting at 0, just incredibly slow / long / hard. I've been at it for a few days (playing time) and it has yet to rise. Is this on purpose?

I always put in 1 point to "jump start" it. Then it seems to move. I left it at zero for an entire day of play with it bound to the movement keys and i still didnt get any boosts until putting in the initial point....

I've raised it from 0 on p1999. It took a long time to happen, though.

Train it to 1, then link it as a hot key to you left or right movement key on the keyboard. So in theory every time you move left or right - it does a sense heading. Gotten mine up to max in no time just running around.

This also works for forage - but can be annoying since once you get really adept at it you are always picking up food and stuff while moving and need to stop and place in inentory.

Hope this helps!
