I visited Aradunes old monument on EQ the other day.
Out in Eastern Karana. The flaming sword in the stone.
Sat there and meditated a minute before moving on to some crag spiders. I appreciated the mountainous skyline. And wished I could have seen more of this little hamlet. It's not very significant in the game sitting there nexto the gorge. Butt it was convenient for selling some loot and taking a break. I grouped there several times in the past with some hearty adventurers. Killing lions and griffins, farming pelts and exp for better than patchwork. And I thought about those days. Life was simple. And great then. There where no convoluted steps to key and flag or collect no drop items for BiS gear to unlock the next raid tier. And everything was new. Seeing other players in the same game was a novelty. Seeing guards fighting hillgiants and griffins on their own was really cool. R.i.p. Aradune. | ||

Pras Brad. I remember that same time in the game (and same area I hunted in EK on my first barb shaman all the time), it was wonderful. P99 should put some kind of Brad memorial somewhere like that too.

Man, reading your message took me back! Eastern Karana, the flaming sword, just vibing with some crag spiders... Those were the days, right? Life was simpler, no crazy quests or BiS gear hunts, just pure adventure. It's cool how those little spots in games can hold so many memories.
