Default Lost traded items

So I was trading with a friend of mine so I could transfer the stuff to a new character I made so we could level together, and he crashed in the middle of the trade and all the items in the trade was lost. Is there anyway to get the items back? They were just some pieces to a small bronze armor set and a backpack.

Also, has this ever happened to anyone else?

I have had this happen. The items either ended up back in the inventory of the originator, or on the cursor of the originator upon logging in and/or zoning.

I suppose the items could have been dropped on the ground? I would be very surprised if the game reacted by simply deleting them.

Well I think what happened was that we traded the items but his bag was filled so it stacked them on his cursor and then he crashed. And when he logged back in the items were gone because they technically weren't in his inventory and they weren't on the ground. It's not that big of a deal anyway, just some bronze armor and a backpack XD
