I put the background to opaque and when I try to pick a color it seems no matter what I pick there's a consider color that blends too much into the background and becomes unreadable. Like if you put it to black, dark blue becomes hard to read. Transparent depends a lot on the zone color scheme. If you put a variation of white the yellow cons become hard to read. You get the gist.
Anyone figured something out? Tired of squinting.

I use the default (velious UI) for my tracking window and seems to work fine. I do use a grey background on my target window though seems to work well to contrast to see mob HP, maybe would work well for track window too.

Default velious is transparent and when you enable textures it is black. It is the UI I'm currently using. Grey is the best compromise so far but if it is too dark you don't see blue cons and too light, even cons and light greens are hard to see.

Yeah I believe I have texture on (i.e. default black opaque). When I screwed with them I didn't find anything else that was better IMO and since sticking with the black opaque I haven't had an issue with contrast personally. In other words, every other option I found to be worse.

I ended up toying with it a bit more and it seems like a medium grey is the best compromise. 33/33/33. Lets you see just about everything alright, not perfect but more workable for me. Kinda ugly with the rest of the transparent UI but I'll take it over not being able to read it.
I have an "issue" where my laptop power settings seem to mess with my gamma sometimes and I have to tune it every now and then, maybe that doesn't help the readability.
