Lack of camp disputes iRL is disappointing

I was at the mall this morning, looking for a spot to park my car. I saw someone slowly approaching an open spot, so I asked them if they were parking there.

When the gentle old man said "yes, I was planning on parking in this spot," I was thrilled at the chance to have a camp dispute with him.

I started ParkingQuesting him. I told him since we're not in a parking deck, technically he can't claim a parking spot. I told him to read the mall's FAQ website and the Park Nice Policy.

I was getting all fired up, and then I told him I was going to write an email to the Parking Authority of the mall to come handle this dispute. I sipped my coffee and sat in my car next to him in his, and thought "excellent, this will be a good one."

Much to my chagrin, the old man said "It's no problem you can have this space, young man."

What the hell? He conceded? Where's the dispute? Now it's no fun. I left the spot, drove out of the parking lot, went home and started playing EQ instead.
