Been digging through a few french archives lately, apparently the french say 'les pets' when referring to pets, which is a english/french hybrid (les means the, and then using the english word 'pets'). Pets literally means farts in french. Makes for some funny guides when using google translate:

Farts

How to get rid of it?

The NPC having a fart is a caster, it can often cause damage to you by its magic spells, attacking the fart first implies to be able to quickly get away from the range of the master. Tackling the master first, however, involves being bothered by the fart.

It also happens that you know the NPC you are going to attack and fart. The latter will for example be killed with 2 DD spells for "summoned pet". Attack the master with a snare, the fart attacks you immediately. Get out of reach of the master, and destroy the fart. You are now alone against the master NPC who has lost his fart, that you will be able to quietly attack in kitting, whether you are alone or in a group. It is up to you to judge according to the situation if it is better to start with the fart or his master.
