Gregor Nasin - No Barkeep Compendium

Hey guys,

I just turned in the items to Gregor Nasin to receive the Barkeep Compendium. I am an enchanter so I was in an illusion and I cast alliance on myself and everyone else in the bar. After doing this everyone in the bar con'd amiable to me. I handed Gregor Nasin the Kiola Nut, Erud's Tonic, Honey Jum, and Koalindl Fish. When I handed the items I received absolutely nothing in return.

If you needed illusion and faction to complete the quest you might have only been given the illusion benefit. The alliance line only works with one faction at a time. You could have boosed the faction with him, then allianced another guy on a different faction you go back to regular faction with the previous until you zone and they all reset.

Try to illusion then get the quest text with him, if no text the quest probably will not work. If you illusion + alliance and get the quest, the above was the reason why it didn't work.

The illusion could have been an issue but take that out of the equation by repeating the steps without the illusion and just use alliance.

I completed this on my bard without using alliance just 2 days ago, did you try to get him to say the quest text prior to turn-in to make sure faction was sufficient?

OP, you can't cast Alliance on yourself; and if you cast it on Gregor, and then on some guard or something, it will no longer affect Gregor. Plus, the other bar patrons don't matter for the quest turn-in; you only need to worry about Gregor's attitude toward you. If he was dubious or higher, it should work.

I've heard this quest sometimes doesn't work if you turn in all 4 items at once. To guarantee success, you could turn in the items one at a time.
