Alright so I was able to figure out what the issue was and why it was occuring.. Regarding the actual notes made on what Windows updated had nothing to do with the error but what this code is throwing is a compatibility issue..

To resolve this partiular issue - do the following steps

  • 1) Go to you EverQuest directory (C:Program Files\Sony\Everquest)
  • 2) Find the Application titled "eqgame.exe"
  • 3) Right click on it - go to Properties
  • 4) Second tab at the top - click Compatibility

Now in this window there is a pull down menu near the top that gives you the option of what windows version you are wanting to run "eqgame.exe" at.. So if your running windows 98 - you would want to set this at windows 98.. If you are running 8.1 then you need to set it at 8.1

  • 5) Click apply - Then click on Ok
  • 6) Use the p99 Launcher - and your good to go [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
