Miscellaneous: Turtleshell Helm

I know its silly. But this helm on live showed up as Green Plate Helm, I remember this clearly as it was one of the few plate graphic helms if not the only, pre-kunark that was all/all...


On p99 the helm shows up as Silver Mail Helm. Graphic needs changed to Green plate....

Can anyone provide some type of link or screenshot of this? I couldn't find anything saying it should be green :T

The OP is right, this helmet did show as green in the original Everquest and it was one of the few unique helmets. I've only played classic so yeah, it was changed eventually apparently and those sources are definitely not from the original EQ but proof of the change.

If i had my old screen shots of Tokum I know I have one of him wearing this, always liked the fact back in 99 that I could have a green plate helm, eventually I was notified of my nubness in wearing it for so long lol....

scroll down, the picture they have of a old EQ gm event has 2 halflings wearing the helm....this was the original color and look of the helm (green/plate)


edit: Id like to add that cause of the fact that it's 2 halflings wearing the helm in this shot im alittle worried that this might be some halfling noobie helm quest i dont know about in this particular picture, however I never played a halfer nor did I do any quest resulting in a green helm, so I believe this to be the Turtleshell Helm as it is EXACTLY the graphic I remember it as. I wish I could find a better picture with someone atleast talking about it.....

It is visible as a helm on mages. Appears like a banded helm.

Looks like it should stay as is.

I know for a fact that this helm used to be green plate look....all though Uth's post shows that by time Kunark was out it had been changed, and with you guys so close to kunark release, this is a mute issue 8)

Thx Uth, that was my problem, I was mixing them up cause of the inventory graphic.......was a gnOme cleric whole time on live, so im sure it was the scarab helm i was thinking 8)
