Default Lowbie Rog - Str or Dex

Just got lvl 7 with the rog and have a chance to get some +2 str or dex rings. Reading the wiki it seems dex only helps with crit / proc chance. Should I stick to Str as my primary stat until later levels?

STR for damage, dex isnt worth much unless you really need to proc weapons.

STR is your primary stat as a rogue. Aim for 183 unbuffed STR, because that will allow the best shaman buff to cap you at 255 STR. The next milestone after that is 115+ STA, because STA provides the most HP gains per point until 115. HP gear and resists after that point.

183+ STR
115+ STA
+HP
+Resist

AGI / DEX are not important rogue stats. Don't worry about them. You'll passively gain these stats because rogue gear is loaded with both anyways.

Why the hell do you have a 60 and 58 rogue? 52 I could understand...

Are you trying to get one rogue for each raid mob before Velious?!?!

true on all aspects but isnt STR the easiest to obtain in stats for armor? for the most part gear is in this particular order of occurrence ive noticed STR/DEX/AGI
so with that being said STA would be the most sought after stat for a rogue correct?

There's different tiers of STR gear. Single stat gear is kinda bad, but new rogues need to load up on easily found, pure STR stuff to do their jobs. After getting a 183+ STR base, you swap out the excess STR stuff for survivability (STA, HP, Resists). Prioritizing STA earlier than that, especially before 60 when you get the most out of it, is a waste. Consider STA where you dump your overflow points. It's not important to focus on initially, but it becomes one of the few ways to improve your character end game.
