 | im actually just saying that because im lazy and i know it will probably work, if you dont want to reinstall please answer the following: Are you running EQ using a launcher, or directly from the shortcut with patchme added to the shortcut target? Have you ever patched the files manually or do you use the launcher?

 | click the faq in my sig. set up your everquest shortcut the way i explain to set it up (ie, add patchme to the end of the shortcut, something along those lines. explained better in the FAQ). then skip down to #7. and follow the link to the spell files update. download and extract into your eq folder and then run your shiny new everquest shortcut that you made and you should be set.

 | I get this error about once every 2-4 weeks and it seems to be caused by a poor connection and quickly resolves itself. | ||

 | dont use the eqemu launcher, just directly launch everquest. make sure you follow the instructions in the faq first though, or EQ will patch itself to live and you'll have to start over.
