Today marks the launch of a new Haven and Hearth world, the last true old school open world survival pvp permadeath MMO, developed by two Swedish....... I suppose the best approximation is libertarians. Both the best and worst game ever made

In past worlds, going back maybe 15 years, villages would tend to align roughly like this: Anglosphere people/villages tend to be friendly with other anglosphere, US, Canada, UK etc. Poles were a little more unpredictable, I'd say you could count on a slim majority being friendly to you if you're American. Like other online games, Russians have the reputation of being a ravening griefing horde and that has tended to hold up pretty well in my experience, EXCEPT one world where I had a Russian hermit neighbor who was friendly. Of course there are always certain players who are notorious griefers regardless of language and they just kill everybody. There used to be Korean villages but I either haven't seen them in a couple worlds or they're all connecting using IPv6; they tended to be isolationist, can't remember them ever starting shit. I'm curious to see how the Russia Ukraine thing plays out with in-game politics, whether Ukraine players with Russians or if they move closer to the anglosphere given world events. I've never encountered a Ukrainian player to my knowledge, unless one ever happened to be the source of 'cyka blyat' griffiti left around my plundered camp. If my country were at war with your country, would I play EQ with you? Almost certainly. | ||

Is this a browser game? It looks to be a mashup of several other official games.

Do you guys remember the epic browser Evony online add in 2007.
"Come. Be my queen. My lord. Evonoy Onrine. Game free. My queen." This reminded me of that. That was like, right before/as mobile brainrot weird pay to win city builders were invented. finally got around to playing the demo for this and it's basically exactly what i want in a single player TTRPG simulator, just hope they end up making enough content for it or include a player created construction set so some crazy person can mod in all the old school DnD modules or port shit over from Dungeon Crawl Classic modules
