Since we're all daydreaming, I'd kinda like to see the server slowly split into hardcoded teams. What do you think would happen if one day dark team (dark elves, ogre, trolls, iksar) characters logged in to find they were all removed from their guilds, could no longer group with or receive/give beneficial buffs from/to anyone but other darks, but could still attack each other? Kinda like the opposite of VZ crossteaming; hardcoded teams without the safety of their own team.

And the devs could get all RP about it. I bet population would go up. Then when the novelty started to wear off, they could do it again with the humans (who all decided to go to war against short team for their subtle "tiny doors/housing" trolling). And then after a while of having things like that, elf team would split off from the elf/short alliance because dwarves contribute so much to global warming, and the gnomes refuse to give up their practice of necromancy.

And finally, after all of that, the teams become real teams that cannot attack their own.

I would come to red for this. How would the evil races fair without bards and Druids? Or the elves fair without monks and necros? This would be a lot of fun.
