Right now in my community we have more unhoused and folks full-time on the street than I've personally ever seen at any point ever before. The economic machine that allow doing what you're suggesting ever more cheaply is oiled with the blood and tears of my siblings and neighbors.

Yeah, but at least Ekco will have his smart home. Which is more important? That a minority of people on Earth can own conveniences that never existed before 10-15 years ago? Or that a majority of people can afford housing, food and access to clean water?
