But setting moralism completely aside, just from a health standpoint. Scrolling past pic after pic of erotica art, especially when it was not something I was seeking out but instead sort of thrown in my face in the middle of a gallery of different stuff….
…my brain and gut begin to tell me the longer I look, “this is not good. This is not healthy”. Mostly those two things. And of course if I want to deep dive into it I could go into reasons like:
- this is messing up your dopamine response
- this is messing with your standards and ability to be attracted to average looking women
- this as an activity has a strong risk of bad habit formation
And I know enough both from psychological studies and my own personal experience with indulging and especially taking breaks, that I will never not believe those little nagging thoughts “this is not good. This is not healthy” that grow more internally loud the longer I look
