I personally hate teams pvp because its one step away from being completely blue and I know unless a lot of policing is involved and other hardcoded rules to prevent griefing, it won't be any more popular then r99 down the line.

For the sake of the community though, I'd be willing to compromise permitted they made the right decisions regarding a new server. One of those decisions would be to merge the less popular server into the more popular down the line (like they intend to). Another one of those decisions would be to allow a FFA team on the teams server to give us the best of both worlds.

It would be one thing if r99 was at the end of velious and the server was being merged with another server earlier in the timeline, but the gear gap in kunark is minimal. It just seems to me you have some sort of ulterior motive, because I don't personally believe you are stupid enough to actually think a guild with VP gear has that much of an advantage over other kunark players who don't. Especially when the merge won't take place until after t99 will be VP capable.
My main concern with a merge is that according to Zade and Sirken the intention or hope would be that team99 merges into red99. If you have a bunch of players coming only because of the team aspect and then pull the rug out from under them six months in that seems like a bad move in my opinion. The red99 into team99 isn't as bad a possibility, but it depends completely upon the timeline aspect. There's a lot of unknowns still, which makes this all hard to predict or form opinions on, but the one thing I do believe is that team99 into red99 would be bad.
