When you say you're carrying a bad team with Yi, are you getting a good kdr and wiping out a fair number of them over time in an engagement during which they take out 2 towers and an inhib before you can stop them? That's the problem I find with AP Yi, he takes too LONG to do it by himself, not that he can't. By the time you're done your base is dead.
You can have a 25/0/12 KDR but if you take 5-6 minutes to get the kills and they take the base down due to only you being alive, it still won't save ya =P
I've had tons of games like that and they were extremely frustrating, I was literally 25/3/4 or so in some of them. The other team just took too long to whittle alone.
Started playing more aggressive characters after that.
