There have been several non classic changes implement on this server as it is, and those actually impact the game and a lot of players, I don't see how a cosmetic client side change has any impact on anyone aside from the person who decides to use it.

Why would you disallow something from client-end that is for aesthetics only? Ok, please ban ALL custom UI?
Ok, please bring back the original 600x400 resolution fully non-transparent UI that took up 80% of your screen because it's not classic and make ONLY that available because I spite everyone else that has different tastes? Make it so you cannot move ANY UI element because it will personally effect MY gameplay. Please ban the texture patch so my eyes can burn with massive LCD screen with 16 bit resolution.

I'm sorry some of you enjoy having repetitive spell effects for every spell, but I think lightning looks cooler than red pixels for a ..uh..i don't know, a lightning spell? Makes sense to me.
Just like you have different UI tastes than I do. This is no different. Nothing effects you no matter what I choose nor will anyone ever know.
