From what I remember the mobs had to be fairly close together for it to happen so it was much more noticeable in indoor zones. I think it also has to do with whether or not those NPC's will socially...

Hate to bump an old thread, but I wanted to point out that wood elf male plate helms are missing some transparency too. Not for the eyes, but the edges around the wings on the helm.

I ammend my statement, I think the area I was testing it in ended up being only slightly (if at all) improved. Seems to be working great now :) I'm at 1.66 gb with high res textures.

Hmm.. After running your batch file I'm only able to get the original textures working. Anyone else having that issue? I've narrowed it down to exactly that: works fine before removing unnecessary...
