I'm unsure of the servers future.
Server feels lonely and empty.
Lack of personal time to devote to a lonely and empty server.

PvP in EverQuest is kinda like if they had a League of a Legends match type where you just kill minions and monsters. It isn't in the spirit of the game, the balance of the game. Also, the server is 90% sociopaths and eThugs.
