Never understood why people throw a fit about what channel people use. By default it's even the same color. Who cares?

It's annoying because if you're there exping or w/e and you have your auction set to go to a separate window that you don't want to see, some guy uses ooc so you have to see their auction.
Why use ooc when there's a specific channel for auction? it makes no sense and spams people who might not want to see auctions. What if more than just the occasional person did it? you'd effectively render the ooc channel as completely useless because it was just another auction channel.
I agree with the OP, it's damn annoying.

stupid comment is stupid
I still don't get what all the fuss is about.
No need to throw the tired line of "What's so hard about using the appropriate channels?!?1/1/" as if it's some mind blowing point, because I already do use the proper channels, and that still doesn't help me understand WTF the big deal is.
I mean even if you do send auction to another window that you aren't looking at, is the occasional "WTS STUFF WTB THINGS" really that much of a nuissance? I just don't get it.

If the person doing this is doing it because they want their stuff to be noticed above all others, then what stops everyone from doing this and consequently making the channel completely redundant?
It's just common decency, there's a channel for auctions, if you want to auction you should use it...

Nothing is to stop the channels from becoming redundant, but then again I already think channels are somewhat redundant as it is.
To each their own I suppose. Some people are just easily bothered I guess.

I do it by accident sometimes without really realizing.. Like I'll be chatting in OOC and then be like oh btw anyone want to buy this and type /ooc instead of /auc it's not really that crazy.
Also. People will QQ about ANYTHING.
