I find it interesting when people note that the population climbed during our suspension as if it were some kind of oracular insight into the insidious nature of the cancer that is TMO. Never mind that the population continued to climb long after our suspension was lifted.

I can't help it that your preferred method of playing the game seems to be mutually exclusive with mine. I play EQ to compete to the maximum extent allowable within the rules provided, and I will continue to do so as long as I am able. TMO has improved the server because it gives a home and a purpose to those who enjoy this play style. What would you have me do? Quit simply because you aren't enjoying yourself? Some games are competitive by nature, and it's up to you to deal with that, not me. Otherwise, would you have me simply walk around handing out flowes next time I play an FPS? Apparently it isnt clear to everyone here but Rogean stopped giving a fuck about this server long, long ago. The only time he has had any sort of impact on the server anytime recently was during the "guild summit round 2" when he basically stood on sirken to stop any changes to the raid scene.

Speaking of that 2nd guild summit; it essentially marked the end of Sominus on this shithole of a server. Ofcourse the 1 week we had rolls, 2 rolls decided against TMO 2 times for mobs. I anticipated they would come raging into summit number two and basically reject any proposal anyone made, which would have played into everyone else's hands pretty nicely since none of their "delegates" had a very significant level of diplomatic skill or even command of the English language in general. And Sirken had stated to us between summits that if TMO was the only guild that refused to get on board then they would be seen to be disrupting the raid scene.

But that didn't happen of course, TMO came into the summit calmly with complete knowledge that they would be under zero pressure to accept anything and all the changes from the prior week were doomed to be completely discarded. Sirken meekly said that the reason for the removal of this was that Full Circle asked for a roll on the next Trak, and somehow another guild rolling would cause a snowball effect that would allow too many guilds access to "free attempts" on Trak. When i pointed out that encouraging mass poopsock gave "lesser" guilds even more of a shot at free loot it was met with crickets and absolutely no rebuttal. After a bit more pressing he admitted that Rogean had told him it too closely resembled a rotation and squashed it. Rogean, the shitbag that sort of runs this server but does absolutely nothing to encourage its growth, support it, or fix any problems on it universally decreed that any change to the cum dumpster raid scene would be bad.

Now I have no idea why Rogean would descend from the clouds to intervene on behalf of TMO in these negotiations and throw cold water on any attempt to foster goodwill and cooperation between guilds on a non-pvp nostalgia server but anyone make the logical next step given the server's history of widespread and universal corruption among the staff members.

Apparently it isnt clear to everyone here but Rogean stopped giving a fuck about this server long, long ago. The only time he has had any sort of impact on the server anytime recently was during the "guild summit round 2" when he basically stood on sirken to stop any changes to the raid scene.

Speaking of that 2nd guild summit; it essentially marked the end of Sominus on this shithole of a server. Ofcourse the 1 week we had rolls, 2 rolls decided against TMO 2 times for mobs. I anticipated they would come raging into summit number two and basically reject any proposal anyone made, which would have played into everyone else's hands pretty nicely since none of their "delegates" had a very significant level of diplomatic skill or even command of the English language in general. And Sirken had stated to us between summits that if TMO was the only guild that refused to get on board then they would be seen to be disrupting the raid scene.

But that didn't happen of course, TMO came into the summit calmly with complete knowledge that they would be under zero pressure to accept anything and all the changes from the prior week were doomed to be completely discarded. Sirken meekly said that the reason for the removal of this was that Full Circle asked for a roll on the next Trak, and somehow another guild rolling would cause a snowball effect that would allow too many guilds access to "free attempts" on Trak. When i pointed out that encouraging mass poopsock gave "lesser" guilds even more of a shot at free loot it was met with crickets and absolutely no rebuttal. After a bit more pressing he admitted that Rogean had told him it too closely resembled a rotation and squashed it. Rogean, the shitbag that sort of runs this server but does absolutely nothing to encourage its growth, support it, or fix any problems on it universally decreed that any change to the cum dumpster raid scene would be bad.

Now I have no idea why Rogean would descend from the clouds to intervene on behalf of TMO in these negotiations and throw cold water on any attempt to foster goodwill and cooperation between guilds on a non-pvp nostalgia server but anyone make the logical next step given the server's history of widespread and universal corruption among the staff members.

We have showed gms atleast 3 fraps of TMO training, and nothing is ever done. Sirken has tried to make changes to the raid scene to make things better, and they are squashed by Rogean. You destroy any other people from enjoying a chance to relive classic eq, then say its merely for competition. You have had people banned for cheating and RMT, then say all your plat and gear you get from raiding mobs is simply put in guldbank and not RMT. Why does TMO screw everyone else out of a chance, when they have no main that needs the loot? Because its competition? Give me a break, im not a 12 year old that would believe such lies. Visc, sure I miss IB, but they've gone on (and in many directions lol).

I am telling you and everybody else that the primary driving force behind TMO is not hoarding and intentional griefing. Are there a few people who have sick amounts of money and many fully-geared alts? Of course. Some people in TMO have been here a very long time, and the lure of Velious persists.
Does everyone possess these same advantages? Fuck no.
One of our druids FINALLY got VS legs this week, and I'm super jealous. I've had my fear legs for almost 2 years. I raid as much as I can and I'm sure I'll never see a BCG that I don't have to buy, so don't talk to me about farming. It's just that it doesn't appeal to me anymore. TR locked the server down and farmed the shit outta it 'cause at the time, nobody could do anything against TR's roster and our raid force. Kinsawt and Perun wanted to lock the server down and it's what they did. It asphyxiated p99.

TMO is doing just the same, that's all I was stating. P99 is an unbalanced server, basically you have a guild that beefs up at some points, locks everything and cockblocks everyone, until people get fed up enough and man up and replace that guild, to do exactly the same...So, hm, what's the point?

I don't really miss Ib, I miss 50% of them, the rest were assholes or potheads. Just like TMO, you know it's not the nice guys holding it together and keeping the server locked down....It's the sick fucks with no lives high on addies and with a crazy playtime.

As an ex-member of BDA I do care. I warned them not to merge with the shitty attitudes from VD as it would cause alot of drama and mental trauma for the long time BDA members.

I also have a huge interest in psychology so its fun too see how you guys group think around social stresses caused by TMO domination.

I ended up banning more people in VD IB and BDA than in TMO. The illusion that the hard core raiders cheat more is pretty far off on this server. It's the more casual under lvl50 people who have done it the most. I can count up to only 6 people or so were banned and 5 were for 2boxing the past few months after IB and VD dissolved.

Every raid attended was checked when I was able to log in for ,for boxers and showeq or MQ. Don't sink down to the red99 forum trolls and think everything is bad. However I fully agree with Nilbog, but I would rather a player hall of shame in game with the peoples name.

It's the more casual under lvl50 people who have done it the most. I can count up to only 6 people or so were banned and 5 were for 2boxing the past few months after IB and VD dissolved.

Every raid attended was checked when I was able to log in for ,for boxers and showeq or MQ. Don't sink down to the red99 forum trolls and think everything is bad. However I fully agree with Nilbog, but I would rather a player hall of shame in game with the peoples name.

1) He talks about who he personally has banned (which is weird, if he is/was VD *Bisch*, he isn't supposed to deal with people from his guild), but anyhow.

2) People who are banned, are never (read: rarely) made public. So unless the person came forth to say they were banned, you'd not know who they were. They could have simply changed mains, taken an "extended break" or what have you or even could have been like Ambrotos suggests, someone who is new and not a raider (casual person under lvl 50)

3) I agree, no sympathy. Perma ban the accounts. Preferably delete the account/character/items and free up some space.

seriously tho, they need to inform the guild leaders at least if members of their guild are getting banned for cheating, not only so that they can try to get a better hold of the situation(so that threads like this dont pop up) and so that the officers/guild leaders can keep better tabs on their roster and who might actually be coming back when they go on a break

I think public listing of bans should go out each month and what guild tags are associated as well.

It would provide players with reassurance that cheaters/rule breakers are actively being pursued, it would provide RnF with many lulz, it would help deter people from using the programs and finally it would cause guilds to learn who people are before possibly taggin them.
