Why is this guild seemingly packed with dicks who think they're pros among pros? Every bad experience I've had on this server has been because of a WI member. Doesn't matter if it's AFKing in group for 30 minutes (Pakk) or stealing camps (trying to and wiping, Porcelin, some other newbs).

What's up?

Kind of surprises me to hear this. From what I remember on the Combine, Bum tended to run a pretty tight ship. I remember having a few minor run ins with them on progression; but as I was in a competing guild, that was simply the nature of the beast. Even in those situations where I had run ins with WI members, in all honesty, my guild was about the largest congregation of assholes to ever grace an everquest server... they were fun to play with, but assholes none the less, so I can't even fault WI for most of those instances. While only 1 or 2 WI members are people I would consider friends, my general impression of the guild throughout my experience was that they were stand up people.

I was in WI on combine. Bum did run a good bunch. I know what guild your talking about Loke :) It sure was interesting between the guilds. Ive never had any problems with any WI member on this server.

Heh, combine was fun. Only incident i remember involving WI was on a race for king tormax where i had my giant pet constantly dispelled, whilst KT was memblurred quite a bit midfight.

It just added to the fun though :D

I think the issue is that high-end guilds attract a wide variety of people, a portion of whom tend to be rather selfish in how they play MMOs. They go "it's just a game" and grief people and talk tough and measure their e-penis daily.

So I don't think it's this guild per se, I think it's any high-end guild can have some of these people. They're not interested in family/casual guilds.

That and they tend to be the "loudest" presence in guilds, in terms of their actions and conversations.

Having been in a few similar guilds over the years, I can say a good portion of them are always good people, you just may not see and hear them as often as the ones that don't care if they're pissing you off or do it intentionally.

Grouped with several WI toons; good experiences all. Seem like good players and people. Maybe you ran into the exception, not the rule?

You could truthfully replace "WI" with the name of any other guild on this server and still be correct. That's just the nature of dillholes banding together, it brings out the worst in a lot of people, in MMOs and in Real Life (TM).
