When the Romans complained that the Gauls were using excessive weights in measuring the amount of gold the Romans were to pay, Brennus threw his sword among the weights, exclaiming, "Vae victis," meaning that he, not they, was dictating the terms.

<Vae Victis> is an anti-grief (not anti-pvp) guild looking for holy warriors to fill our ranks. The idea behind this guild is to be as close as possible to the good alliance on Sullon Zek. This means no evils or newts. There are some exceptions so if you have questions pst to one of our members in-game. We are the good guys and we would love to have ya join us in some jolly cooperation.

Currently recruiting all classes at all levels.

Grinding to 46+ is the current priority for all members.

the important thing is for 1-40 to remain centrally located around Greater Faydark. This will ensure our group dependent members (rogues, warriors, ect) will have the best chances of having a group available to them. I encourage even our solo classes to group when possible to ensure everyone has a chance to xp.

Can Wizards solo safely? I'm kind of scared - but I'd love to play a class that can solo if they like, along with being viable in groups AND pvp.

Also - if down the road I'd like to gear up a level 1 can wizards solo bosses? Obviously not level 50 bosses. But somewhat effective?

Brings a tear to my eye that the guild is still doing big things. Unfortunely last semester school + EQ did not mix, I even came close to losing my 6k scholarship (not bragging being real.) I am a year or so from graduating so I can't afford to play games this semester. I hope VV stays together, there is a good base of good people. It's nice to see randoms from all over get together, make a guild, and succeed. We have such a variety of players with different views, a lot of strong willed people yet you guys are still makin it happen. All trolling aside, not talking to my pals every night in vent is the main thing I miss. Pixels are just pixels. Miss ya pals.

Could just do it like VZ "light team". Allow anyone not dark elf, iksar, troll, or ogre into guild; this way we could still RP the good guys but maximize friend potential and have all classes. Whatever you decide is cool though, my monk is Quellious and bard went Tunare :)

ya im going thru all the class/race/deity combos now just to see how we can tweak it. looks like all dwarf/gnome variations are newt/evil. im thinking about doing something like this.

for the most part all barbarian/erudite/high elf/wood elf/half elf are good aligned. except for a few combinations like erudite sk ect. humans are in the middle.

a few options i am considering are
1. barbarian/erudite/high elf/wood elf/half elf/human only (with or without sk/nec)
2. strictly deity based SZ team

option 1 will give us all classes and allow agnostics to join. itll be a little off from sz because it will allow for sk/nec as well as other evil combos like inny clerics and such but for the most part will fit the look of the good team.

option 2 will limit us and pretty much force reroll on anyone interested because most of the server is agnostic if given the chance. we will be w/o summons and itll be a pain in the ass to actually verify if someone is the right deity.

im thinking option 1 so we can have a more of a variety, less rerolls, and just easier to manage.

Just to summerize, VV will either be:

1. Strictly SZ good deity based guild, no agnostics. (Erollisi Marr, Mithaniel Marr, Rodcet Nife, Quellious, Tunare ONLY)

2. The "good" races without evil classes (sk/nec)

3. The "good" races with evil classes.

"Good" races are Human, Erudite, High Elf, Wood Elf, Barbarian, Half Elf. Yes alot of human/erudite combos and a few warriors/bards can be evil but for the sake of simplicity I am going to label these good.

No gnome/dwarf/halfling combo can be good. only evil/newt. still looking a few other combos but i dont think any other race can be good aligned.

The way we looked at adding newts last time was that they had a choice whether to help good/evil or remain neutral in-game.
