I got banned =(

Hey, I am not sure this is the right spot for this thread because I am not exactly bashing the GMs. However, back in late October I got banned for a third party system. I sent in a forum petition explaining how a mistake was made and if they could look into the matter. We are now in mid June and I have heard little about my account. I also bump my petition regularly.

I want it to be clear that I love this game and what the staff has brought to us. I would never cheat to harm this server. I want this game to thrive and grow. I know the GMs have a lot to deal with and trust me I do not think I am special in any way, but I believe after 8 months I should be told if the staff will look into the ban. I am 100% sure I did not cheat in anyway. If the staff has a way of looking into past logs then they will see this to be true.

I want to know if anyone else has had a similar problem and if so how did they get the GMs attention to fix this? Thank you.

Usually if you show contrition they will unban you, even if the ban was "permanent", provided you waited 3-5 months or so.

I think most bans just or not get a 2nd chance after 6 months. so you are 2 months due...keep bumping

well, I felt I have done that. I have sat by and waited for 8 months and have heard very little :(. I was avoiding going public because I felt it would be disrespectful, but at this point I need help getting their attention.

I even made a second account recently and sent in a game petition but it went unanswered after a few hours. I am starting to get discouraged

There are some situations where accounts are unbanned. It happens over a long period of time. I've seen 4 since I became a guide in January. Typically I won't answer petitions in game for people asking to be unbanned. That isn't a situation in game that can be helped.

Of course, people can decide not to break rules and not be banned in the first place.

But I did not break the rules. That is my point. How can I get my petition heard? Bumping is not seeming to help.

oh that's cool there's actually humans on the otherside of that keyboard and not robocop, a permanent ban seems harsh. this would help the population a bit if it's true.

And when people are actually legitimately caught using third party programs, they're let back with a slap on the wrist.

That made me so mad... I got a permanent ban for some BS and then a few months later tons of people get caught hacking and got what... a two week suspension or something? pfft. That's why I gave up rerolling on the server.

Hey, if this is the case then can I be unbanned? I didn't hack - and I promise not to mess up your sever with my 38 (or whatever he was) monk.

Time to reroll and try as hard as possible not to associate with GMs. Was banned in December 2010 for "warping." If GMs don't like you for whatever reason then all of a sudden you're using third party programs and then its just your word versus theirs.
They have no reason to dislike me other than I refuse to stop bumping my petition. I dont understand how they can ban someone for not doing anything wrong and be ok with it. And I hate to reroll, I spent over a year just farming stuff. Seems a little unfair.
