View Full Version : Has Everquest ruined your life?

How many real-world hours of your life have you pissed away playing Everquest over the years? How many relationships were ruined by your prioritization of ToV raids over your significant other(s)? How many career opportunities did you blow while farming AC and/or camping Raster? How many pizzas and 2 liters of cola (and, as a result, Prilosec and Nexium) have you consumed while glued to your screen during Plane of Sky sessions? How many friends did you alienate with your constant references to the game in public? How many relatives consider you a loser and an outcast per your addiction to a chat server with a video game GUI?
Or has Everquest been a wholly positive influence in your life?

In all seriousness though MMORPG's have bred people that looked like this:

Into thinking that if they played the game hard enough and became a "dev" in the end they'd move to some weeaboo paradise and score some of this:

But the best they end up with after years of soul crushing social ambiguity is:

and the cycle continues as they reproduce with an exchange of semen, faygo, memes, and 5 day old sweat, added to the incubation of xanax and double-downs a new generation of gamer is born.... Behold, Grundle the Gluttonous!

I lol'd.
I kept me being an EQ addict as a secret anyways. Dedicating like 30+hours a week to a game would definitely get you branded as uncool.
