Back in '96 my phone company charged like 10cents a minute or something crazy for even local calls. My mother was pretty pissed about that. Then I started playing a game on AOL that cost $1.99 an hour, she got a $300 AOL bill and I wasn't playing that anymore...

Anybody remember the Dual 56 K modems ? I never had one my self I was lucky enough to have cable by the time they came out , but I had a friend that got one . He was crushed when he saw how fast cable was .
