The music itself is completely minimalistic (not in a good way), the production value is lame and the lyrics sub-par. I think people lsee a video that they visually enjoy and equate it with liking the song.

I'm on the opposite side of that coin. I can't stand her music. It's repetitive and uninspiring. But I thought the video had a little taste of Tarantino... or in any case a throwback to when music videos actually kept you engaged, even if they didn't make sense. The shit that is coming out anymore is so mindbogglingly bad, that I'll take whatever I can get that even resembles individualistic.
