Well, it looks like Amelinda brings action with her words.

I hear 10 TMO were suspended last night for exploiting Vox. The loot was removed and the characters left suspended in the lair.

Rumor has it some Innoruuk loot is changing hands and moving forward there will be a hard line against taking advantage of the Guides and GM's in order to create a roadblock of red tape that stops the process in its tracks.

I didn't even have to resist an AE today on Vox. She Dragon Roared as usual (and I got feared with 366 MR... can we explain that?) but the cold AE didn't go out and I was in melee from 99% - 0%

This has been a known issue regarding vox's AE being broken thats been posted in the bug forums. Yet those that did it previously didnt get loot taken away, nor suspensions for slaying the mob knowing that it was broken. Maybe its just me for thinking this is all crazy. =P

From what I understand the DT wasn't taken until 5+ seconds into the fight, and when it was taken there were already plenty of people on Inny, so he never disengaged..........much like TMO on vox

Just spitballing this... what if the server rules were modified so that for raid targets, whichever guild has the first person (not pet) to die to the mob when it spawns claims the mob and has X amount of seconds to engage it before it becomes FFA?

If the first thing the mob does is deathtouch someone, then clearly that guild has "First to Die" rights.

If the mob spawns and one-shots someone with melee first before the deathtouch, we can see that happen and then that guild has "First to Die" rights.

The major obstacle is that we, as players, can't interpret FTE without the help of a GM. We can, however, see who had First Death. You can play all sorts of games if you want... keep players at 1 HP for low HP aggro, sit them down, stare at space and cycle Target Nearest and Auto-Attack... whatever you think works, but in the end, when the mob spawns and there's more than one raid force within aggro radius, whoever eats the first death.

Or is there some rules-lawyering around that I haven't considered?

As I understand it, the actual inny logs weren't reviewed while perun was on the corpse, Amelinda had to make a decision based on the best information available to her, which is that inny usually goes into seek mode after his initial DT - if he DTs the first person that aggros him before anyone else gets on the hate list.

Since the initial DT didn't happen until multiple people were on the hate list, the logs didn't clear, but that wasn't known until rogean pulled the logs. Again, AFAIK, the ability to pull logs from the database is something that Amelinda didn't have until a day or two ago, so she was unable to see what was in them at the time of the inny dispute.

I don't know why no one told you this, but we've known since the day after inny.

There are plenty of things you can rightfully be upset about. Having no one empowered to settle raid disputes who cared enough to do so for 6 months should probably be at the top of that list, and is the main reason raiding shenanigans reached this level. Being mad that a guide made a decision with the best information available at the time and rightfully reversed it once the logs were available shouldn't be anywhere on that list.

Let's all play by the rules so it doesn't come to this again. Wouldn't that be easier?

I definitely didn't say blue players were too honourable or anything like that. My point was more nuanced. You guys were acting like the bosses are so thoroughly broken that they have to be reset every encounter, yet not once have I ever participated in a dragon raid where their AE's bugged out (all raids I participated in were on Blue, hence why I conflated non-exploited mobs with those killed on the Blue server). That suggests that people are exploiting it purposely rather than it being an innocent accident. This is independent of whether they're red or blue players. I used a poor choice of words while we were talking about it in IRC. It would be more correct to say that it gets exploited less on blue because Naggy-capable guilds have the required numbers and class composition that they don't need to exploit.

Bottom line: We are tired of VD riding IB's coat tail and getting free loot that they havent worked for. The first time trains were happening I had another role to play, at the end I was going to kill kinsawt after his lol train on me but the stopped me prior because "omg there are peace talks, ask zeelot"

This last time, i was in hate as a part of a "just in case" group to kill inny while the other half of our guild played in VP with IB. I heard you guys got lucky and managed to actually do pretty well against half of us, even tho TMO still dropped xygoz to 20% or so?

So yea, I wanted to be in vp. I'd have rather came (much the same with the other people in hate) and completely destroyed IB in VP (15+ more of us in VP and xygoz would have died).

But what were you doing baub? Sitting in your guilds camp, dying? I shudder to think how well you move in VP if you can't even manage to move thru hate with a mostly cleared zone without dying.
