The college football rivalry between Texas A&M (Aggies) and the University of Texas (Hook'em Horns) goes back more than a century. Before this season started, A&M announced that they were going to leave their conference and join the SEC. (Another inside joke is that they're leaving the Big 12 to be the Baylor of the SEC). They're leaving because UT makes the most money for the Big 12 and as a result takes a bigger piece of the Big 12 licensing pie. A&M wants the Big 12 to split all of the proceeds equally even though the profits brought in by UT alone is insanely lopsided compared to the other members of the conference. After making their exit from the Big 12 official, UT told A&M that they won't be able to squeeze them back into the schedule for at least 10 years, officially ending that rivalry, and officially bringing even less money to A&M for that time.
Today, UT and A&M faced off on Thanksgiving as has come to be their modern tradition. UT won the game, and it will be hanging over the Aggies heads until the next time they meet - who knows when that will be.
Cyrano is gloating about that.

How do you confuse an Aggie?
Give him a pack of M&M's and tell his to put them in alphabetical order.

A Longhorn walks into a bar. The bartender asks him what he wants. He says he doesn't want anything, but asks the bartender if he wants to hear an Aggie joke.
The bartender says, "See that man to your left. He is 6'5 and 300 lbs. See that man to your right. He is 6'3 and 280 lbs. I am 6'4 and 275 lbs. You know what we all have in common. We're all Aggies. So do you still want to tell that joke?"
The Longhorn says, "No I guess not. I would'nt want to have to explain it three dang times."

Did you hear about the Cessna airplane that crashed in a cemetery in College Station?
Aggie search and rescue workers have recovered 300 bodies so far and are still digging.

How did the Aggie break his arm while raking leaves?
He fell out of the tree.

A recent Aggie graduate was hired by the Bryan County Department of Transportation to help paint lines on some recently repaved country roads. The first day, the Aggie is able to paint more than 20 miles.
"Congratulations!" exclaims his supervisor. "That's more painting than anybody has ever done in one day!"
The second day, the Aggie only gets about 8 miles done. He was heart-broken that he wasn't able to do as much as the first day. "Relax," says his supervisor, "you worked at such a neck-breaking pace the first day, nobody would expect you to keep painting that much every day."
On the third day, the supervisor approaches the Aggie. He says, "we're going to have to let you go. You did such a marvelous job the first day, and then the second you managed to do an average days work, but today, you were only able to paint half a mile. What's the problem?"
"Well," says the Aggie, "that bucket of paint keeps getting further and further away."

I don't remember it being a team from the SEC that knocked USC (also not from SEC) off of its pedestal.

One point always left out when explaining the Aggie's stomp off fit to the SEC was that Texas A$M never once voted for equal revenue sharing in the B12, and Kansas Basketball has had a Tier 3 contract with ESPN for years to the sum of 6mil per year give or take a mil. So their argument of UT's tier 3 deal is ridiculous.
A$M got what they deserved thursday and will be receiving it for years to come in the SEC. /wave bat dung
