my body is a temple of rock and roll, and my flesh, blood and bodily fluids are a communion to the people

Probably the best zombie movie I've ever seen is now on Netflix Instant: Dead Snow.

Wizard of Gore. And not that shitty remake with the Suicide Girls (I know that may sound bad ass but the movie sucks.)

I went with the Thing.

Also, shiner holiday cheer is delicious, and the stone IPA kicks you in the dick.

Event Horizon is a classic. I also like the Paranormal Activity movies. If you like the "first person character filming" style of movies (like Blair Witch) and you don't mind subtitles, there is a pretty good European movie titled Troll Hunter. Can watch it instant on NetFlix.

that might balance that he posted a picture with two cases of shiner before.

shiner = trendy trash.

if lots of people like something that means it is trash

lots of people drink miller and bud, does that make it good?

there are many, many more breweries in texas that produce beer that's much, much better.

i just bought two sixers of rahr & sons: ugly pug. among my other favourites (in a bottle) are real ale: fireman's 4 and their pheoneXX double ESB, independence: pale ale and their austin amber and bootlegger brown ale. circle, 512, and live oak don't bottle, so you can only get their stuff in bars and restaurants, and it's normally worth it.

nearby from louisiana - abita: turbo dog and their andy gator ale
east coast - yuengling: black & tan

don't drink shiner.

I bought this all on a Kroger gift card so there's no point pulling out your beer snob e-peen here. I did the best I could. Just be thankful I didn't get a 30 rack of keystone or natty light.

I'm probably gonna write those recommendations down though.

What did you expect? Any thread about beer or how to prepare a steak is going to result snobdom. For some reason when it comes to those two subjects, personal preferences become laws of nature and anyone who disagrees is a cultureless peasant.

apparently attempting to educate makes you a snob.

Educate us on what, what you happen to think tastes good? protip: no one gives a fuck what beers you like.

It's not the recommendations that makes you a snob, it's the bashing of what is mostly good beer.

Also there's no way in hell I was gonna find many craft beers at a grocery store.

you are obviously ignorant, so i'll try harder: the beer industry in america is a scam. shelf space doesn't go to the best and newest product. it goes to the companies with the most power and influence, leaving consumers confused and often helpless in their choices. i recently observed the local section of my grocers cooler invaded by killians. i have no idea why it was there, but it was certainly offensive to see a coor's beer taking a space previously held by a texas craft beer.

i'm sorry you fell for it, but i'm not sorry i'm trying to help. if you continue to insist on maintaining your feeble ways, i'll let you keep buying stuff that is as close to beer as it is to piss.

was directed at biffins, who is acting like an internet hero, not jarshale, who obviously is in a bad situation on beer choice

i live in texas, where shiner is made, and our grocers (HEB) carries a pretty wide selection of texas craft beers, as well as other national brands like fat tire, new belgium, pyramid, widmer, and dog fish
