get the feeling it is like VZ/TZ MQ with max resist, tracking and speed cheat as always on pvp servers......once a cheater will always be one....they cant stop just creating new accounts and will be back :-(

Hope they will continue the good work since pvp will do alot of cheaters who hate to lose and cant play fair.......

play for its fun and not to be nr1....as many cheater on pvp server always are.

Red is 10x the xp and throw away accounts, will any steps be taken to keep these cheaters OFF the red server when it launches? IP ban them , etc?

They were PROBABLY beta testing the new anti-cheating detectors. I think they did a great job.

My guess would be a majority were Fish Bait because those kids are freaking horrible at pvp and zerg recruit like TMO.

It's funny watching these scrubs from the blue box point fingers at people on the red beta whenever the majority of the cheaters came from p99.

Actually, 101 accounts on the blue server is less than 10% of all accounts. Maybe 5%. 40 accounts on the red server is probably around 50 - 70 % of the active accounts. That makes the red server's results more significant.

101 accounts doesn't imply 101 individual players. I'm sure there is some overlap there.

Most of these cheaters on red, where on blue cheating before this, as evidenced by the 300+ that got caught not long ago.

You can have and use multiple accounts on R99. This could realistically be like 6 people. Or maybe 1 if Sam the Man dropped by :)

furthermore, I recommend playing the old version of 1 instead of the remake. If you can't stand the old versions, then play this version of #2 (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=5753) off the bat. Otherwise, I recommend playing the original first.

The thing to note here is that people who are cheating will always get on and try to cheat. If they get banned they will try again, get banned and try again. Understand that this is what they logon to do. They are not interested in just playing this game. Some are people who cheat at every game they play. Some are angry at others who play here. Some are angry at the Devs. These people will continue to try to cheat until they are IP blocked.

Because of abacab, I obviously know something a bit more than anyone that advocates IP bans

Like I said from the get go
ALL former vztz players are and always will be cheaters. Letting them play on Blu99 was a mistake in the first place.

I went to log on today and my account is one of the ones banned. I don't understand why though. I have 1 character, a level 9 necro, I am still using the noobie dagger and in full cloth. I don't know what everyone else that got banned for was banned for but I really have no idea what I could have possibly done to be lumped in with that group :confused:

Chances are you have one of two programs installed. Even if you don't use them in p99 i think it will still flag. Not sure a lvl 9 is worth the work but petition and they can verify if you used it in game or not.

i do have mapquest installed on my computer from playing on EZ server but when started my P99 account the first thing i did when I logged in the first time was type /unload to turn off MQ2 and it just froze my computer so I restarted my whole system and MQ2 has never been on since. Now I am wishing I would have restarted my computer before logging in the first time. I don't know if it is exclusive to my computer but MQ2 doesn't vanish off the toolbar near the clock unless I restart the whole computer which I was forced to do the instant I logged in my first time.

I realize level 9 is nothing and I have nothing but it will still be a pain in the ass to do all over again from scratch :(

ROFL!!!! On the Vanguard beta I made a character named "******face". I logged in and said, "Yo, sup?" then logged right off and got on and tried to get on my main guy but showed I was banned.

I then petitioned on their bug reporter that the naming filter was not working. Then complained that my account was banned when all I was trying to do was test the naming filter.

They didn't buy it.
