The mother's statement is pretty fucking stupid, it's definitely not the first thing I would have predicted a frantic mother would say when some old man was choking her son. It seems more like a trash talking statement, maybe that's where the kid gets it from.

I'm kind of suprised he isnt dead, if someone was choking me when I was 13 I'm about 99% sure my mom would've killed him.
