I have no issues with normal powerleveling. But when it's a 50 mage ( Aerken ) taking mobs to 1%, having their friend ( Maryrosie ) snare the mob, logging his lvl7 cleric ( Evilcleric )and killing the mob. It just seems like cheating. Is this sort of thing even allowed on p99?

But you conveniently left out the fact that you killed the mobs as soon as evilcleric tried to log in. So you basically KS from them.

What does it matter if they use the characters they have worked very hard on to help their alts level?

Stop complaining and make a mage and do the same thing......clown.

That doesn't even sound like it should work. It would take almost a full minute to log out one character and load up the other. In that time the mob would have regened a ton of hitpoints. Or am I missing something here?

The druid that snared the mob is still engaging it, so it won't regen at the speed it would if it wasn't aggro.

As a side note, this is probably the most tedious way of powerleveling your own character ever.

Wouldn't it be easier for a 50 mage to round up every mob in Crushbone and aoe down the zone and transfer all the belts and pads to the level 7?

It would certainly cause more server drama than just monopolizing one mob at a time. :)

I can't think of a worst way of PL'ing someone. Let him continue, he'll be pleveling that cleric a long long time.

as you are in the zone already join a group, collect belts, xp and have fun along the way.:D

They're power leveling, and the best use they can think of for a druid is to keep the mob agro'd while switching chars?

I get the impression that the druid was similarly of low level.

Used to do this back on live when I only had an enchanter available. Get the mob down low, mem blur, kill with low level. Didn't have to log in and out, but still worked well.

Seems like at that level it would be quicker just to have the mage give the druid a Ds and log the cleric in and kill everything in sight...

That sounds like a really really really ineffective version Monk FD PL or Chanter Blur PL. I've monk PL'd friends a number of times.. don't see any issue with what the guy is doing.

I did Aegis of Life at lvl4 and dinged 6, 1 yellow from 7. That was good exp!

Yea that is a awful way to PL ..way to much work just DS em and let them kill it. You could also use the money the Mage has and just buy the belts and shoulders from other players (assuming they aren't no drop I haven't done CB in years) and that way you get your exp easy style and no one else losses any mobs and newbies make some plat which is always nice 8-)
