and to continue my rant - minimalists say "ohh it was only 150 people cause of 365/2, (2-3 accounts per person etc) it wasn't that many people" does that explain why there was an additional 46 unique accounts caught just THIS WEEK?

And if it really is only 150-200 people cheating out of a 1000 plus active server pop it wouldn't make a scratch if we banned them.

I know a few of us (myself included) have the resources to put up a stable VZTZ clone, which is what will eventually happen if the Red99 cocktease goes too far past its expiration date. Would this be ideal for anyone? No. But it would give people something to actually play.

I wanted to bring back Voidd. Searyx was against it, he logged into the server in the middle of the night and wiped it...

Except he forgot to empty recycle bin, like someones mom might do, and Voidd was given full access and restored it.

Daxum came back, cleaned up Searyx's mess, and shared the server code for all to enjoy!

So, what became of the server? "Searyx: BE PREPARED TO SEND THE SERVER FUCKING WHEREVER."

Its still sitting here, I could not find "wherever" in Google maps.

VZ/TZ was going to die 2 years prior, because Daxum did not have the time to host anymore, so I offered to take the server and host it at my house (700 miles away). I was a GM for maybe a week when this happened, and all I was interested in doing was learning more about EQEMU, MySQL, Servers, and giving people their EQ. I purchased a seperate ISP (Fiber Optic) for it, kept it up and running 24/7 no matter what time it was, and even slept with it in my room ( it was LOUD, and it was HOT. ) My limited income and I were dedicated to people I would never really know or meet. It was thankless, but I gave it the best 2 years that I could!

Did I ever make a bad call? yea, of course, everyone does. But I did my best to correct it. I never disappeared for months at a time, and I never played a toon either, because I never cared for PVP.
