This isn't anything new. Packet readers, memory hacks, duping/exploiting, you name it. It happened on live, it's gonna happen here, and it'd continue on after a wipe and restart.

The problem with removing items from the cheaters is technically everyone in their guilds cheated and used MQ2 to get loot, even if they didn't know it, so all of those items would have to be gone, too.

(I'm being generous, I don't believe that many people want a PVP server.) Especially when they won't even ban hackers, because they don't want to hurt the population.

Actually there has only ever been about 700-900 people avg playing on the server. Peak time for example when Kunark was being launched was the largest population I've seen.
