This should go under horrible strategy thread because it’s not smart. Never take advise from someone who has avatar of that 70s show…
REAL ANSWER:
You want to farm the great light stones and high quality bear skins. Also hold onto a stack of bone chips and say you’re selling them.. someone will be like oh man this poor noob selling bone chips imma hook him up and bam that’s a payday bigger than you knew expected

WK bandits, Nybright Sisters, wisp island on Erud's Crossing, gargoyles in OOT are all decent options.

Best plat for this range, without a doubt, is bandit red sashes for good guy races.

Some good spots were already mentioned above.
Here is a bit of more general advice. If you have the carry capacity, loot as much as possible. Learn what sells the least, and start destroying that stuff when you run out of room (if you aren't planning on leaving to sell). You can make tens of plat just doing that in the low levels for quick spell plat or w/e.
In Unrest, for example, the death beetles drop https://wiki.project1999.com/Amanita_Phalloide, which sell for like 14 plat per stack of 20. Not bad for a stackable item with low weight, and it drops from what you are already XPing off of. Unrest mobs also drop bronze weapons and banded armor.
You can camp some shralok packs if you need more capacity, and you can sell them to other players if you want.

Never take advice from someone who needs to hide booze from his mommy cuz he cant control his drink driving.
Also its an 80s show.
Also also have a whiskey lil buddy. Sounds like you have some inner tension.

Great replies!
I did a couple hours at the sisters in Lfay and got myself plenty of plat for spells. On to Unrest.
Or should I head out to OOT and do gargoyles? My character is basically naked. Zero gear. (enchanter)

What level are you now? I think gargs would be tough pre level 20. Especially naked!
If you're still in your teens and trying to get plat, i recommend west Karana bandits, collect red sashes, turn them in to a guard at the paladin guild in qeynos for a few plat each in bronze weapons.
I made like 1k plat 15-20 there.

It requires faction, but by far the best you would be able to do is palace lows in paineel.

Not sure how hard/easy they are to sell on green, but I think OP is looking for loot that doesn't involve selling to other players.

+1 for this. I was able to get enough plat for JBoots by doing level 20-30 on my Necro from Paineel guards.

I'd have to spend some time in the Warrens.

Oh I've done warrens on multiple melee twinks on blue. Its amazing ZEM, fun zone.
Enchanter here on green is basically naked. I have 30 gargoyle eyes in my bags from a single session this morning. I basically tripled my net worth.
Feeling good about garg isle for now, at least until I run out of tiny daggers and need to gate back home to Felwithe.
If I ever want the faction later it'll go a lot faster with a higher level animation anyway.

I’ve seen 20s in Paineel. The guards! No faction hits.
Do they assist?

Yeah but the idea is you want the faction to be able to go sell as well.

Willowisps , save both the Light stone, and the greater light stones,
Turn in the light stones to Mrysila , at the gyps camp in North Karna the greater ones, when turned in give you a book, that takes up an inventory slot, but can be resold to her for 9p each, and worth a lot of exp .
for good races here https://wiki.project1999.com/Research_Aid
For evil races the turn in spot is in South Ro, dark elf camp .
https://wiki.project1999.com/Evil_Research
For lvl 20 to 28 the Hermit in South Karna is good, 2 min respawn, drops fine steel weapons. No faction for killing him. https://wiki.project1999.com/A_hermit
There's also the entrance guard in Highkeep, can't remember his name - but he's level 20 and is on a 2m respawn. Drops a fine steel sword every time.
There is a pathing guard you have to watch out for -- but with a Slow, the enchanter pet could probably kill the 2m guard easily.

Greater Lightstones from the wisps, as has been mentioned, will net you a lot of experience and an item worth 9 plat on selling back.
Bandit sashes which are easier to get sometimes, will get you experience and a bronze weapon which sells for several plat each.
