People would always be like Blue is dead, it's impossible to get a group, and I would be like uh? All the camps people care about are camped around the clock on Blue. all the leveling places like Unrest, City of Mist, KC etc. have groups going around the clock.
Made a toon on Green out of curiosity. Discovered quickly it was the exact same way. Everything dead except for the high $$$ guard camps, and regular group areas like UR, CoM, KC.
Like Green may have a higher population, but the non-60 crowd is virtually identical. I never saw a single group in EC or Oasis or anything like that. Feels like Green just has several hundred more AFK level 60s, but the actual 1-59 game is the same as Blue.
I would document it more but Midnight expansion came out and am having more fun there.

Oh I will actually say this. I don't care if people help me. I play EQ for the "hard" factor. Or that slow, afk-friendly grind. But I actually get way more help on blue than on green. On blue random level 60 druids I've never seen in my entire life teleport across the world, and run across 3 zones just to buff me because they saw me on the /who all and wanted to be helpful; people give me random free items etc.
On Green things like SoW or PoTG are treated more like a transactional thing that you have to pay for. Nothing wrong with that obviously. I'm pro capitalism and what not. I just think it's hilarious how people larp like you will have a better "new player" experience on Green.
In reality you'll still be solo'ing 1-60, but the people will be way less nice and the items will cost more $

Not my experience at all on Green. It's actually irritating how often I fly by to buff a newb on my 51 druid and skin like nature doesn't hold because they've already been hit with PoTG. And if you hang in WC for any length of time you'll see a "free PoTG at rings, hail me" message in OOC.
But if you want to compare the leveling scenes on both servers more objectively, simply do a / all unrest, / all mistmoore, etc. at any time of the day.

The difference is blue has FTE lockouts and green doesn't.

As a new player would that make you choose to roll on blue?

Are Green shitters demanding money for SoW now? Lol that server. PoTG costs an enormous amount of mana (1200) so it's worth a nice port tip at minimum all day, but SoW is either a clickie or 30 mana. I dunno about better player experience. You have different entities that won't die. You have canadian/eurobads in Safespace and Castle are bad players with a shit ton of casuals and a chip on their shoulder. Kingdom are the people that feel good about being #2 underdog and Good Guys are a high school clique of neutral evils.

I've never once seen someone offering SoW for tips.

My favorite tip about SoW is that it increases your characters movement speed for the duration of the buff.

In that case maybe people ought to charge for it.
