Not that anyone asked, but if you wanted some more info: following that clip, you'll see in the last seconds I asked for an officer to chat to - One messaged and I briefly turned off the stream and asked them what they thought I should do. They suggested I wait for the next day when the guild leader would be on and see what they decide. So I did.

The next day, the guild leader at the time - Abiatharr and I sat down in discord voice and I asked him: "Did you hear anything about the Hate raid last night?" he said no, and I said "okay. I'm going to show you a clip without any context. I want you to watch it then tell me what you think." A couple minutes later he comes back to the channel and says with a chuckle and malicious tone "Tricket... Tricket... how did you manage to catch this" I explained I was just trying to entertain my viewers (maybe a dozen or 20 at the time, i forget. not many) and didnt like sitting in the corner the whole time waiting for mobs to appear. Some sneaky rogue happened to walk by and I thought he was going to the front to pull mobs or something." Abiatharr pulled in another regular at the time - not sure if he was an officer or just a good friend. and we cooked up some plan to expose Bummey and tell Clue their leader was stealing stuff from a joint-raid and telling them the item wasn't there. We let in some of the other guildies in on the plan and set it in motion.

So that "Is your server reputation worth" thread appeared and the whole thing exploded. Another thread I think with memes and a letter to Clue came up. It was a (poorly executed) recruitment campaign to see if the people who left Clue wanted to continue to raid under our tag. It got mixed feelings. Some felt it was a slap in the face, others laughed along and joined us. The memes were (mostly) great.

Many friends asked me why I stopped streaming after that. I'd come back for a day or two every couple years when P99 itch hit. But I knew I could never match that level of drama, and would have rather had that be what I was known for. Appreciate you all thinking it was a top P99 moment.

Wonder what came of Bummey after that. Some say he just re-rolled a new rogue or played an alt and continued on. Others say he quit completely. I'm sure he still lurks these forums occasionally. It's funny how these things play out. I had Clue members blaming me for their guild falling apart - some claim I set the whole thing up to frame Bummey... It was pure luck! and I really didn't know what that book did at the time. It was my 2nd or 3rd time in Hate.

Anyways, thanks for the memory. I'm playing Valheim, Diablo2, Divinity, and some other time wasters while anxiously waiting for Monsters and Memories to launch, maybe you'll see me around there. All the best.

Book not up makes me fucking mad to this day. Raid leaders have no say over ground spawns and the whole thing was someone flexing rank on someone and calling him out for being scummy or some shit. Book not up was the perfect way to handle that.

Would it change your opinion to mention that Bummy was the guild leader of Clue, and it was agreed before the start of the raid that it would be randomed to a rogue that needed it (there were multiple present) ? How is that less scummy to do to your guild than calling it out?

It wasn't his guildie. The offender (thieving rogue) was at the time, the guild leader of Clue. It was a joined raid with Clue and Dawn Believers up in Hate. There was a lot of history there, and if you read the main thread it was exposed that Bummey had made posts in the past wanting to sell the rogue epic MQ. This lead to a bunch of Clue members saying Bummey was always the one to go and check for the book, and curiously it was never up.

Also as others mentioned, rogues who needed the epic ground-spawn were in the joined raid. As for who has 'authority' over a ground spawn... Bummey wouldn't have had the opportunity to get into Hate and sneak his way to thief it if not for the collective raids deciding to go that day. So he stole from his own guild, he stole from an ally guild, he lied to everyone, and he got exposed for it. The guild disbanded over this issue, so its not like no one cared.

Funnily it was only like 5kPP at the time for the book MQ so not even a big score to have all that chaos afterwards.
