I know lots have enjoyed the Holiday Quest and their rewards - but I have seen some truly ugly behavior from level 60 players in low-level zones. In both Permafrost and Sol A - groups of level 60s have come steamrolling in, without any regard for groups that are there killing for exp - and they kill all the goblins in sight to get the quest item.

It wouldn't be so bad, if it wasn't every several minutes the same thing happening. And since the level 60s kill so quickly, the mobs all repop in a similar time frame. As my lowbie group tried to pull a few, we got leapfrogged by another pack of 60s. After 3 times of this happening, the group logged off - frustrated they had to compete with players 35 levels higher than them for the same mobs.

I really enjoy Project 1999 - but this seems like it was not well thought out.

All they care about is DKP / loot ration points.

That's cool!

High level players are like dragons.

Imagine being so strong?

Must have been cool to see them.

It's unfortunate that Sol A is closed off for exp groups while this event happens. My friends have wanted to crawl Sol A since they came back to EverQuest a few months ago. And they were greeted by a never-ending train of level 60s, who would come in and clear house for their quest rewards - with absolutely NO regard for anyone already in zone exping.

And like I said - it's every 5-10 minutes. So there is absolutely no way to compete when as soon as respawns start to happen, a new level 60 comes in and wipes through the entire zone in about 5 minutes.
